Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are taking their relationship to the next level: They're getting hitched!

"We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together," the longtime couple announced in a joint statement.

Lachey, 36, popped the question to Minnillo, 29, on Thursday "near a beach" in California, with an Asscher-cut diamond with baguettes from Bader & Garrin, a source tells PEOPLE.

On Thursday afternoon, Lachey took to Twitter to write, "Hey all. If anyone's heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the love."

Gwyneth to sing on GLEE!

Gwyneth Paltrow is stepping out of her Country Strong territory and into the profanity-filled realm of hip-hop.

The actress, 38, will appear on Glee and sing a version of Cee Lo Green's catchy hit, "F--- You," Entertainment Weekly confirms.

The silly song about a bitter ex-boyfriend features the lyrics, "Yeah, I'm sorry, I can't afford a Ferrari ... I guess he's an Xbox and I'm more Atari."

Paltrow will sing the radio edit of the song, which is titled, "Forget You."

The Shocking New Demi Lovato Details

• Enough was enough for Demi Lovato, 18, who checked into a medical center on Monday to get professional help because – as a source close to Lovato's family tells PEOPLE – "She fought through eating disorders and has struggled with cutting. [She] is taking control by getting help."
  
  The source confirms that a fight with a dancer on tour was the catalyst for Lovato's decision to seek treatment. According to another insider, Lovato "doesn't have that same kind of love for life that she at one point had."
  
  The insider tells PEOPLE she was already struggling with her weight when she entered her teens: "She definitely had body-image issues. She was always conscious of her weight."
  
  "Like many other teenage girls, she struggled a lot to fit in and find acceptance," says a family friend. "She's very sensitive, very intuitive and that is part of what makes her a wonderful performer – very talented. It is double-edged sword. I think she felt that the hard time she had [in school], problems with kids who were incredibly vicious made her stronger. But none of us feels strong every day."
  
  Lovato acknowledged those body issues to PEOPLE in September. "I have a tattoo on my rib and it says, 'You make me beautiful,'" she said. "There was a song that inspired me when I was younger and it helped me through a really rough time I used to have self-image issues."
  
  The singer-actress added, "Feeling comfortable in your clothes is something I deal with to this day. I wish I had somebody I had to look up to when I was younger to stand up and say, 'Hey, I have fat days.' So I want to be able to start a foundation or something that's for girls feeling confident, to empower them."
  
  Bullied as a child, she wanted to work with kids to let them know, "I've been through it and I came out a stronger person."

US Magazine reports - Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift spent the weekend together in NYC.

She first brought him to a Saturday Night Live taping.

Swift, 20, initially sat down with her bodyguard, but after the lights dimmed, he got up and Gyllenhaal, 29, occupied the seat.

Says a witness, "They chatted a lot, but no kissing or hand holding or anything affectionate."

The next day, they were spotted brunching and taking a stroll in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood -- where Gyllenhaal's sister, Maggie, lives with her family.

Ryan Gosling was not a fan of the Mickey Mouse Club

US Weekly reports - Starring on The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake as a kid had its downfalls, says Ryan Gosling.

"It was kind of depressing because when I got there, they realized that I wasn’t really up to snuff in comparison with what some of the other kids were able to do," he tells the November issue of Interview magazine.

During his two-year stint on the Disney revival, Gosling, now 29, danced backup for Aguilera, Spears and Timberlake.

"I remember one time they put four of us in a dance routine, but I was so off," he recalls. "I was on the end, so they just pushed the shot in closer on the other three guys to frame me out. I would just come in at the beginning of the show and then come back at the end, and occasionally I’d have a sketch here or there, but I didn’t end up working that much, which was disheartening."
